"Super Freak"

It used to be an area set up for town festivals. The best picture I have of it doesn't show very much, but you can sort of make out a small band playing on a covered stage:

But we weren't there just to look at the destruction. We were there to see a movie. Little Miss Sunshine is an uproarously delightful movie. A young girl gets first place in her regional beauty contest by default, and she and her whole disfunctional family head to California in a van for the 'Little Miss Sunshine' beauty pageant, in which all the first place winners from all the regional contests go. This family put the 'D' in disfunctional. But they all pull together, despite all the difficulties and manage to get her there. She's not like the artificially powdered, painted and polished performers there. She's got her own unique style. "She's a SUPER FREAK!" as the lyrics to her song say. And we laugh and cheer for her. This movie is a total delight. Julia and I give it four thumbs up, way, way up.

"Super Freak II?"

Meanwhile, I have this rough sketch of Set gazing tenderly into the lady's eyes. I wonder what she's thinking?

The Courier Journal has a story with something about each of the forty nine people, including a picture of that young couple who never got to their honeymoon:

I might change it and invert it, and do other things with it, but for now I have to get ready for work...

"Neat"
I was recently asked by a reader, "How do I find time to do all that I do?" It's simple. Along with not spending time on creating my skirts from scratch, I rarely clean. The pile on the table behind where I sit at this computer can get awfully high. It had reached an all time high this morning, as I'd not cleaned out from our Orlando trip, but had just piled layer upon layer. However, today, I read an article which explained that all that clutter can cause "Slow-moving and stagnant chi energy." I had a whole lot of 'stagancy' going on. So I finally tackled that mess. It is a historic occasion, the sight of the neat computer area, and I had to record this for posterity:
