Wide Open Spaces
April 18, 2005

Maybe this picture is a stretch to fit the theme of 're-invention'. I let my 'subconscious' play with the theme, as I did for the last Friday Illustration theme of alone. And this image is what resulted. It seems a metaphor for the freedom of the mind, with wide open spaces. The road seems metaphor for the process of life, that what's ahead beyond the horizon isn't known to us yet. The bicyclist represents the Self as it goes through life. The mental freedom that is necessary for 'reinvention' requires such wide open spaces.
