"Gateway Park"
5:21pm

After six years in Yuma, I thought we'd pretty much experienced everything this town has to offer. But I continue to be pleasantly surprised.

We learned about a new park while we were at that wine tasting last Saturday. Julia wanted to express how much we've enjoyed the West Wetlands Park to a man who's had something to do with getting that park created. He said if we enjoy that one, we'd enjoy the Gateway park, just dedicated last May.

A perfect place to explore on our day off, we headed off while it was still cool.

The highway to California gives shade to the parking lot

Looking from the parking lot, we see park ramadas and the 'Ocean to Ocean Highway' Bridge...

Further along on the park's trail...

This trail extends for a long way, it even connects with another park, Yuma Crossing State Historic Park

I have quite a few pictures from there, as well. But I'll save those for another day.
