"Happy Holidays"
8:10pm

After a nap, I woke ready for a pleasant walk on 'Candy Cane Lane'. Every year, the people who live on this street try to out do what they had the previous year. Here's one vibrant display:

Julia wore her Santa/Pileus hat, and I caught her against a 'happy' backdrop:

The people with that display
got fancy this year.

"Happy Holidays", everyone! Thanks for reading!

"A Book That's Not Been Read"
12:29am

A very long nap means I'm up at night late. I'll soon be going to bed, but not before I show you some more pictures. Another of the Christmas walk photos:

And a new 'intuitive' drawing:

"Entering the unknown - A Book That's Not Been Read"

Well, I think that's all about thoughts of the upcoming New Year. May it be a good one for all of us!

"Colorful Once and Future"
12:20am

While trying to decide where to place today's earlier picture in the second 'intuitive' gallery, I grew frustrated with the state of that gallery. I don't like several of the pictures there, and wasn't sure just what to do with them. Julia said they look much better when colored. Indeed, I like this drawing, but I knew I'd like it much better if it were colored:

And so I did!

3:56pm

And I got another colored!

The original was done on February 23, 2005...

6:07pm

And I got another colored!

The original was done on April 5, 2004...

I'm pleased, because I like keeping these three together in sequence. They all have the similarity of being indoor scenes.

Will Sing Soon

Also, there's a transition of the 'reserved' lady who isn't daring to wear red, but only pink, who in the next picture is discovering the courage 'to sing soon'.

"Behold the Neatness"
6:56am

I am doing a rare thing, I am cleaning the house up! Here is the computer wing:

Let's have another look:

Let's see how long I can keep it that way! (It would have looked neater if I had shut the door on the little stand.)

(later note today...)
I went and did a search,
September 2 was the last time the computer area got a good cleaning!

"The Goddess Releasing"
10:19pm

Here is a picture sketch that I hope someday to materialize into a detailed image:

The idea for it came to me while watching Sarah Brightman's Diva: Video Collection. In it, besides singing wonderfully, she is elegant, beautiful and at one point, she releases a dove. Also, I was influenced by my Naga Kanya, with her serpentine bottom and my Ma'at, who is Goddess of order, justice and cosmic equilibrium.

This Goddess, whose role we can play, releases the feather of Ma'at and then it transforms into the dove. Some might see it as the 'dove of peace'. To me, this is metaphor for the serpentine spine strength (Might of Set), coursing upwards, and then from the crown 'chakhra', the Ma'at feather arises, the ordering element, and then the releasing of beautiful intention.

(And thus it turns out I have a passable illo for the Friday Illo theme of 'PEACE'!)

The last statement, well, I didn't say that 'beautiful intention' might involve a bird that is more hawk like rather than dove like if Justice is the intention. Hey I had to make it fit the theme, didn't I? ;) Certainly our intentions should always be 'beautiful', that which furthers Ma'at.
