"Eighteenth Annual Balloon Festival"

| Julia and I got there early, because we wanted to be sure to get good parking. This year, the festival was held at West Wetlands park, rather than on the Cibola High School grounds as in previous years. We waited on a cold brick low wall while we waited. Those smarter than us brought towels to keep their 'buns' warmer. We watched the weather station send up two small white balloons, in addition to the one which was attached to their van. Sometimes it's too windy, and they aren't given clearance to lift. But today, the winds were just right... |
