The shining award, grasped firmly so, on this triumphant night. Who shall I thank, for this success so rare? The role itself, reward enough? True, such a fine part to play. Did I deliver each line with spirit and grace? And how did I learn this art? Oh, so many teachers along the way! Faces seen and faces not seen, how could I ever know their number? Surely, my cup is a cup of wonder. But I had the ears to hear the lessons loud and whispered.
(So a part of the gratitude goes to me.)
"To me and thee!",
I raise my cup. I boast and toast and thank you all!
