Female head of the type of ‘Kalili at the window’. Kalhu/Nimrud. Neo-Assyrian, but probably of Syro-Phoenician origin. 8th century BC. Ivory
No, she's not Egyptian, but I am fascinated by her smile, and she does bear a resemblance to Egyptian funerary masks I've seen. I found the original of this piece from Minerva Magazine, the International Review of Ancient Art & Archaeology. From there I found a link to illustrations of pillaged artworks from the National Museum of Iraq in Baghdad. It's quite an extensive amount of looting.
